Instructions for Printing & Using Generated Report
Printing: |
Use the browser's File/Print command to print the displayed page. While the page is displayed as one continuous block, it will print with suitably placed page breaks. Caution: This may print a large number of pages! |
PDF Output: | It is recommended that rather than printing directly to paper (only to later discover that an error has been made), it is best to print to a PDF file. (For a free print driver to create PDF files suitable for this use click here.) Once created, the PDF file may be printed and saved; use a descriptive file name to prevent confusion if multiple outputs are used. |
An alternative to using PDF is to use the Microsoft XPS Document Writer.
Documentation Copy: | You should retain a complete output copy of all outputs used for your testing. |
Test Booklet: |
This will be of particular interest for DRE users; tabulators will
normally be tested with a test deck made from the "A" Set. A portion of the generated output can be used to create test booklets. The page layout for the test ballots permits cutting the pages in half vertically (giving 4-1/4 by 11 inch pages). The pages may then be ordered (or re-ordered as desired) and bound to aid testing. Top binding with large rings is a recommended and convenient means to make a book. It is recommended that each tester have a booklet copy. |
Test Sets: | The "Individual Sets" option permits a convenient means to produce test sets to implement a minimal testing procedure. (For further details click here.) These may be prepared like the Test Booklet described above either into separate booklets or a single booklet using dividers. |
