In writing a book on one's family, there is always the question as to just who to include as a member of the family. For this book on the Leinan family it was decided that all lnown individuals that had a Leinan as an ancestor would be included. This specifically meant that all descendants of Anders Olsen Oplandsplad, the grand-father of three brothers who imigrated to the United States from Norway in the 1880's, would be included.
